Heidi has been married to her husband Jay since 1989.  Together they have seven children and two grandsons!  The St. Johns’ children range in age from early elementary school to adult.  They have homeschooled the kids all the way through high school.

A favorite conference and radio speaker, Heidi approaches marriage and parenting with humor and grace.  Her passion to encourage moms and set them free to be who God has created them to be will bless and encourage you.

Steve and his wife Sandra have been married since 1979.  They have been blessed with four songs, three lovely daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.  Their fourth son John has Down Syndrome and lives with them in PA.  Steve addresses a variety of topics at homeschool conferences to encourage parents as they seek to build families of faith.  His messages are rooted in Scripture, illustrated from personal experience, and filled with practical application.

He has served in full- or part-time pastoral ministry for many years after graduating from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  A former math teacher who taught all levels of math in public, private, and Christian schools, Steve is the author of Math-U-See and the founder of Building Faith Families.

A homeschool graduate from Pennsylvania, Will began working for HSLDA in January 2004 as a legal assistant to Staff Attorney Scott Woodruff. After graduating from Oak Brook College of Law with his J.D., he moved on to direct HSLDA’s Federal Relations department and to serve as HSLDA’s federal lobbyist.  As HSLDA’s representative on Capitol Hill, Will uses his passion for homeschooling to advocate for all homeschoolers before Congress and met with senior officials from federal agencies and the executive branch. He is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court car and the California bar.  Will and his wife Rachel, who is a homeschool graduate as well as an accomplished portrait artist, and their son reside in northern Virginia.

Nancy Manos and her husband James live in Chandler, Arizona, and have two daughters whom they homeschooled through high school. The Manos’ home education journey was a rich, rewarding, sometimes challenging experience, and Nancy is passionate about encouraging other in the homeschool adventure.  Nancy and James have served on the board of directors for Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) since 2004.
